Featured Artist: The Union Trade
It is another Tuesday night, and The Union Trade are filtering into their practice room deep in the warehouse district of San Francisco’s Potrero Hill neighborhood. As the band greets each other with casual comfort, someone notices sawdust on the industrial looking carpet, but just who the carpenter was is not immediately apparent. “Did you Eric?” the band’s bass player, Nate Munger, turns and asks Eric Salk, guitarist, and the man with whom he shares vocal duties. Nate directs a bemused look back down at the floor while guitar player Don Joslin and drummer Dan Rodkewich set up around him. Just five days ago the band played their biggest show yet at local venue, the Rickshaw Stop, for the release party for their debut EP “Now The Swell” (Tricycle Records).
