Bishop Allen Spend Summer Months on the Road
There isn't going to be a better summertime pop record than Bishop Allen's "The Broken String", and now everyone will have the chance to hear the band play it live across North America. Starting July 20th, with a special free show as part of the summer long Seaport Music Festival in New York City, Bishop Allen will be on the road for a month in support of "The Broken String".
I was first introduced to Bishop Allen via You Ain't No Picasso a few years back and have been a fan ever since. Previous Press:
"If Modest Mouse spent a year in a Chuck E. Cheese ball pit, they might emerge sounding like the delightful Brooklyn quartet Bishop AllenÅ the band's carefree attitude, along with their musicianship, make Charm School as addictive as it is playful." **** - Rolling Stone
"Bishop Allen have released ten EPs in 2006 so far, with many good songs therein contained. And this is my favourite. It's more Arcade Fire than indie-pop, something dark and full of promises. Justin Rice sounds ragged and a little scared. The violins sound strained. And when the drums come, they clear it all away." - Said the Gramophone
"Bishop Allen has mastered the art of quirky, unassuming pop with a fragile heart." - NPR.org
