sh.st/tVdGD sh.st/tCXMj Toadies show at The Annex tonight - cakar macan blog

Heading down to Madison in a few hours to get ready for the Toadies show at The Annex tonight.

If you're in town and looking to relive a little 90's rock, head on down to Regent Street and say hello if you find us at the Regent Street Retreat for drinks before the show.

The last time we made it to The Annex for a show was to catch the Tokyo Police Club/Cold War Kids set the place on fire. We've since enjoyed the release of TPC's Elephant, and now Pitchfork is premiering Amplive's Tokyo Police Club Remix featuring Aesop Rock, which we invite you to check out below:

Tokyo Police Club [ft. Aesop Rock, Yak Ballz] - The Baskervilles (Amplive Remix)

Since causing a stir with his early 2008 Radiohead remix album, Amplive has been in high demand on the remix circuit. Last month, Tokyo Police Club asked the Bay Area DJ for his take on "The Baskervilles," the final track from their recently-released Elephant Shell. So Amp pulled a few friends -- Aesop Rock, Yak Balls -- into the studio and the result, as Pitchfork said yesterday, "turns the anthemic indie rock of 'The Baskervilles' into fiery, rock-fueled hip-hop."

A few more notes...

Sources are not reporting that Favre might be traded within the division - and to a rival nonetheless. Should the Bears or Vikings somehow land Favre you can pretty much guarantee complete anarchy here in Wisconsin, with the burning of Favre effigies statewide. I would like it to the same feeling as if my fiance left me for my best friend - and then won the lottery. ESPN has the latest here.

Now, if only the Brewers could stop the bleeding against the Cubs it wouldn't feel as though Wisconsin pro sports are having their worst week ever.
